Santa Rosa - A hybrid natural gas/electric bus is moving through Santa Rosa. These new buses pictured here are a first in a series of updates to the Transportation system in Sonoma County. While the County has been building to update the Transit system these buses were the work of a private citizen. Petaluma’s beloved son John Lincoln provided the buses to the city of Petaluma & Santa Rosa who both needed more buses to add routes.

“I was more than happy to help,” Mr. Lincoln stated on Thursday’s public opening of the new buses. “with the counties expansion. However, the original plan to just add tradition ‘clean diesel’ buses just didn’t sit right with me. So, I found a different way of getting the new buses that appears to work for everyone.”

Rail of Wine and Roses – In wake of the two earthquakes, the Operations Manager Elizabeth Lee-Wilhelm, is making the central body of the resort open for general rental.

“In the past these rooms aren’t considered very popular because they have no windows. Without a view people considered them a second choice. Now it has come to my attention that a type of guest would be most interested in using a room with no daylight to bother them, these interior rooms will be offered at the same time as a exterior rooms.” Ms. Wilhelm said in a press release Friday.
