Piedmont Airlines took delivery of their first Boeing 737 on May 5th, 1968 with tail number N734N and christened the "Piedmont Pacemaker". Boeing had allocated serial number 19418 and line number 29 to this aircraft, a Boeing 737-201. She arrived with JT8D-7A engines and later upgraded to JT8D-9A sometime during period 1976-1978. When the airline merged with USAir on Aug 5th 1989 her tail number changed to N200AU. Decertified in April 1996 she ended up at Marana, Arizona. Here she is being prepared for an FAA explosive hardness test.
I acquired the cockpit section Feb 27th, 2002 from Aircraft Restoration and Marketing in Tucson, Arizona.
