One of the more mysterious members of the scabs, Rolo origins are sketchy at best. Supposedly raised by a tribe of cannibals in the jungles of South America, he learned how to play the trombone by initially blowing into the gourds that the local warriors would wear as protective devices for their genitals. His skills at the gourd were so revered that the tribe made him there chief. He soon grew restless though, and set out on a visionquest that would eventually lead him to Texas. After experimenting heavily with peyote caps he became intrigued with the shape and texture of the trombone which he mastered almost overnight. After a complete nervous breakdown which robbed him of his keen sense of smell he eventually hooked up with Ugly Americans. When he's not wowing audiences as a part of the grooveline horns he enjoys listening to Chico Martinez, Oleander milk, climbing trees and occasionally barbecued human flesh. |
