Most important: the Tow Vehicle! Here is Utah Bill, my 1971 Chevrolet Cheyenne 20, ready to go. Manual transmission, a long wheelbase, 4800 lbs of weight, and a 402 big block V8 engine seem to be a good match for the Safari. Rotten gas mileage, though no worse than many of the modern SUVs. I am using the Equalizer hitch, which so far seems to eliminate any sway from passing trucks. The combination does make for quite a bumpy ride on uneven pavement, though; I'll have to see whether anything can be done about that. |

Found this fabric for $2 at a Sacramento CA thrift store! Kind of obnoxious, but I love it. Must find a way to make this into curtains. |
Melmac dishes: practical and stylish! Paid a premium for the patterned ones on ebay, then supplemented with pieces in matching colors - same brand - 25 cents each at a The Dalles OR thrift store. |

Found a bunch of this atomic flatware at a Portland OR thrift store. Originally intended to use the Oneida Twin Star pattern, but I fell so in love with it, I can't let it out of my house. When I gather enough Oneida pieces, I'll use that for both home and trailer. |
Aluminum glasses - I've had these for years, but they might work.
Okay, so this has nothing to do with the topic of this site, but I had to throw it in anyway. This is my 1965 Honda 305 CB77 Superhawk. |
