 Season Start

After the draft has ended league members will receive Strat-o-matic roster files that contain three leagues:the 2001 ASBL, the 2001 WL, and the 2001 EL.

The 2001 ASBL league files contain all players on a team's roster. This includes non-carded and ineligible players as well (see rules 5h and 6h for non-carded rules and 3a for player eligibility). The ASBL rosters show a player's actual ML appearances from the previous season. These files are never used to play the regular season with;they are just used to keep track of a team's entire roster.

The 2001 EL and WL roster files contain only players that have the minimum apperances to be eligible to play in the regular season (see rule 3a for player eligibility). All players' apperances have been adjusted 130% to reflect the maxium amount of appearnces they can make in the regular season (see rule 1a for maximum usage in league). These files are used to play the regular season with. It is from these files you will export your computer managers.

The last thing to do before the season gets into its weekly routine is turn in default computer managers (DCM). Within the first week of the regular season, before the games are played, DCMs are due. What a DCM is and how to set one up is explained in the Default Computer manager page of the procedures section.

Weekly Routine

For 27 consecutive weeks of regular season play the ASBL functions on a weekly routine. Here's how it goes. Each Monday by 11:59 pm est pitching sheets (PS) are due for the six games in the week. If a pitching sheet isn't turned in, the starting rotation on your default CM is used (go to the pitching sheets page to see how one works). Pitching assignments for the week are then released by the PS managers on Tuesday. Then by 11:59 pm est on each Wednesday weekly computer managers (WCM) are due for the six games to be played in the week. If a WCM isn't turned in, the DCM is used (go to weekly cm to see how one works). Games are then played by game-runners using a team's WCM or DCM. Roster/stat league files containing the latest stats are then released no later than Sunday. Below is what an ASBL week looks like
