Pink Roses, 1995

This lovely woman is my attempt to create a Deaf sculpture; not to teach ASL, but primarily to make an artistic statement with a Deaf model. Therefore, the title is not signed in the sculpture. She instead signs 'I love you'. I hope this encourages others to incorporate ASL in their art as an act of embracing Deaf people as part of our national heritage.
