| Stadter Boys - Week 12 - July 19 to July 26 | |
![]() Jon's doing great at home and is growing like a weed. Everyone keeps saying how pretty he is, and while we know that we're rather prejudiced when it comes to our boys we're starting to believe them. He's got the biggest blue eyes you ever saw. On the downside he's also mastered the fine art of projectile spitting up, not nearly as cute..... but we'll still keep him. |
![]() (July 20) Will has graduated into a big boy crib, he looks like he's in baby jail. Still breathing fine on his own, they're telling us he'll get to come home in a few days. Still, Dr. Chow reminds us that nothing is definite until you've got the baby in the car and St. John's in the rearview mirror. (July 23) Today is the boys actual due date, and after 85 days we finally got to bring little Will home today. There's some cosmic justice there I guess, we got him on the day we should have gotten him in the first place. He weighed 5lb 8ou at discharge and was 17 inches long. |

![]() Jon's up to 7lb 14ounces and still growing. He smiles once in a while now and it's just the cutest thing. Of course, it also usually precedes a spit up, but when this boy starts smiling on purpose he's going to be a heart breaker! |
![]() (July 27) At 4:30 am Will's apnea monitor went off, when we went in to check on him he was very warm and kind of panting (that's why the monitor wasn't picking up his breathing). We realized that we'd had him over bundled and he was too warm, so we took his temp and it was only 95.6! Once quick call to the doctor later and we were on our way to the emergency room where they took a bunch of blood to check for infection and checked us in. At least this time Mommy got to stay in a room with him. He had to stay for 48 hours for observation. Final diagnosis? Mommy tried to cook him. We had him overbundled and he started sweating. His little system just couldn't handle the stress so it over cooled. No infection and he's fine, but we won't let him get too warm from now on!! No more sweaters just cause Mommy's cold! (July 29) Mommy and Will are home and this time we're keeping him here! Will hit 6 pounds even today! |
