| Stadter Boys - Month 4 - August, 2003 | |
![]() Jon's been growing by leaps and bounds and by the end of August was up to 10lb 8ou. He's smiling at us once in a while now, and he's a real cuddler. Jon's off the preemie formula now, too. Just regular baby stuff for this boy from now on. The boys are only getting up once a night for feedings, now. It's almost like a vacation. |
![]() Will's getting big, too! At the end of August he was up to 7lbs 13.5 ounces. He's eating like crazy, though, and we're expecting to see a sudden growth spurt soon. He's still having problems with reflux, but it's become more of a laundry issue than anything else. We're starting to see Will do things that Jon was doing 2-3 weeks ago, like cooing and waving his arms around. He's starting to catch up with his big brother! He's still on his apnea monitor at night, but the doc says he can come off anytime. It's a crutch, we know it's a crutch, but it sure helps us sleep better at night. |
| Stadter Boys - Month 5 - September 2003 | |
![]() Well, it's been a big month for the boys. We had to take them in to get them weighed on Sept 13 (tell you why on Will's side) and Jon's up to 11lb 4ou! He's smiling all the time now, and you can even get a laugh out of him now and then. He's started waking up happy now, too, he'll give you a big old grin when he sees you come in the room. Are you ready?? The boys slept through the night! Well, from 8:30p to 4:30a, and it's not like we slept. We kept getting up to see if Jon was still breathing (we KNEW Will was OK, see why we kept that monitor??). |
![]() Well, little Will hit a HUGE growth spurt and wasn't looking so little anymore. We measured his length and in about a week and a half he'd grown and inch and a quarter! So, we decided we just couldn't wait for the end of October and took them in for a weighing. Will's up to 9 pounds!! Over a 17 day period he gained 8 1/2 MORE ounces than his brother. Wouldn't it be strange if Will ended up being our linebacker? The boys head circumference is exactly the same now, and they're starting to look an awful lot alike. |
Stadter Boys - Month 6 - October 2003 |
![]() What can I tell you about this month.... so much has changed. The boys are growing like weeds. Jon is now 13 pounds 12 ounces and 25 inches long! He's about as cute as can be, smiling, laughing and babbling all the time. He's rolling over from front to back now, and I think he's getting close to going the other way, there'll be no stopping him then! He & Will have started noticing each other, too (well, Will mostly notices because Jon's favorite passtime is bapping him in the face with his hands or feet, whichever's closest). I guess it's payback time for all the kicking he got before they were born, when Will's feet were right up by his head. We had one ultrasound where we were looking at this perfect profile of Jon, then suddenly here comes a foot - Whack!. Why do I get the feeling that this will be going on for the next 20 years or so? |
![]() Will's had a great month. He's up to 12 pounds 9 ounces, he's kicking his little legs all over the place and smiling and laughing. He flips himself over from front to back all the time, lots more than his big brother. Will is off his monitor and his reflux medication. He still spits up, but it's a lot better than it was and doesn't seem to bother him at all. We, on the other hand, are going to buy stock in the Dreft company. So now we have two normal, equipment and medication free babies. And the icing on the cake? They're both (usually) sleeping through the night! Will still loves the trick of pulling one of his arms up inside his sleepers, he looks like he's lost an arm. Jon heard babbling over the monitor the other morning and assumed little Jon had woken up, but when he went in there was Will flat on his back (he'd started on his tummy) with his right hand stuck up through the neck of his sleeper from the inside, slobbering all over his fist and having a gabfest. Life is good. |
