The BattleAxe is Canard style aircraft with a forward swept wing.  This wing configuration not only gives this bird a unique appearance but also gives this plane extremely stable flight characteristics.  The wingspan is 51 inches and the power comes from a .36 size motor mounted in a pusher configuration.  It has fixed tricycle landing gear and uses 5 or 6 servos.   There's a servo in each wing half to control the ailerons and three more servos to control the elevator, steering, and throttle.  The sixth servo is used to control the optional inboard flaps.  The canard is used as the elevator and can be mixed with the flaps if desired.  Actually,  you can get extremely creative with the control surface functions if you use a transmitter that has mixing capabilities.  Let your imagination be your guide.  This plane is  constructed of balsa and plywood with a balsa sheeted foam core wing.  The planes pictured here have been covered with fiberglass cloth and then painted.  Conventional film covering can easily be used instead of 'glass'.
