WHAT IS
THE GALACTIC TRADING COMMISSION?
The universe is BIG, big beyond the Human concept of size. The thing we call The Universe is a quantum bubble within this BIGNESS. The I.B.C.C. [INTER-BUBBLE COMMERCE COMMISSION] was established by a culture which spans the bubbles. Some of the commissioners are ancient beyond imagining. The common denominator of all the civilizations in all the bubbles is COMMERCE.
The I.B.C.C. stimulates commerce by establishing a G.T.C. [GALACTIC TRADING COMMISSION] in every galaxy with sentient life , but only at the request of the galaxy's indigenous inhabitants. A commissioner from the I.B.C.C. is then appointed to the G.T.C. post by the I.B.C.C. executive committee. The commish presents himself to us as an animated .GIF image of his own selection. The image is selected on the basis of the commercial mood which the commish would like to establish within his galactic jurisdiction, and it may change from time to time as policies shift. TOP
WHAT IS THE
GALACTIC TRADING VESSEL?
The
galactic trading vessel is a commercial shuttle vehicle which visits Earth on
an ad hoc basis for the purpose of picking up and dropping off items of trade.
The commish announces arrival dates and accepts requests from various Earth
trading organizations for arrival scheduling.
We know nothing about the propulsion system, if there is one. We know only that the vessel appears out of nowhere one light-week away from Earth at a preselected point on an axis which is perpendicular to the galactic plane. TOP
