REDWOOD SEQUOIA CONGRESS

In its third annual Redwood Sequoia Congress the Social Justice Committee of the Berkeley Fellowship of Unitarian Universalists again focuses the community’s attention on human rights, environmental, and social justice issues that cry out for attention, understanding, and community action.

As this age of neo-colonialism continues to play itself out—mean streets, poisoned waterways, loss of work, endless wars—our great forests have become highly visible symbols. They foreshadow our own fate. As they fall before the ax of mindless exploitation, so may we be consumed unless we reconstitute our broken communities..

You are invited to examine the Berkeley Principles and our schedule for the Third Redwood Sequoia Congress, September 14 & 15.

Participate. Speak out. Build a community of concern. Your observations and insights are welcome. Our email address: rscongress@bfuu.org.
