Side Mount License Mount and New Turn Signals
I've been wanting to clean up the rear end of my bike for a long time, and finally decided today was the day. I picked up a Catseye taillight with the skull lens from Blackhawk Custom Cycles and I ordered a Custom Chrome universal side mount license bracket (part#340341) from them too. If I haven't mentioned it before (and I know I have!), the guys at Blackhawk are top notch!
The bracket came in today, so I tooled down to Joshua to pick it up, and stopped
by AutoZone on the way back home to get a few essentials for the upcoming job. I
needed some electrical tape and tie wraps, and I knew that the stock turn
signals would look like crap, so I started scouring the store to find something
to replace them with. I wanted something small, reasonably bright, and chrome!
Shouldn't be too hard, right?
After wandering around the store for a half hour or so, I was getting frusty and
was about to leave. I happened to head down the Ricer aisle and there I found my
answer! You've all seen them, you all hate them on those cars. Yep! It's the LED
Windshield Washer Nozzles! Perfect! Small, chrome, and decently bright at night.
They're mounted right where the stockers went and you can barely see them! And
best of all? $9.95!

I got in a little bit of trouble from the small LED lights when I went to inspect the bike the other day! The guy wasn't going to give me the sticker at all, but I showed him the bullet lights in my tool bag, and told him I was going to install them that day ("I swear I will!" LOL!). So it took me an extra week or so? So what?
Seriously, I liked the fact that the LED light were small, and they were pretty
bright, but after having a few cars run up on me while waiting to turn, it was
time for something brighter! These are bullet lights, straight from JC Whitney,
and they are pretty dang nice. Heavy metal, quality plating, ball milled accents
(you can also get them plain if you like). They have a small dual filament bulb
in them, so you can use them as aux brake lights too. Easy to mount, all you
have to do is drill an 11/32" hole where you want to mount them, feed the wire
through the hole, run the hollow mounting nut up over the wires, tighten it
down, splice the wires into the harness and bolt it all back together! Easy!
Again, I apologize for the crappy pics, I was going to get a new a camera this
week, but App2Ride pointed me towards a Corbin Gunfighter for $99! Thanks again
Ronnie!
