Who Is Downtime?

HOME

Welcome to my place! I'm Bryan, better known around here as Downtime! and I currently serve as the 1st Officer in the Fort Worth chapter of the Southern Cruisers Riding Club. I ride a Honda VLX 600 that I've tricked out a little bit. She runs 6 degree raked trees, 2" over fork tubes and a cut rear shock, along with a bunch of other mods. I keep pretty good documentation on my projects, so chances are, if you need some info, pictures, or just some good old fashioned advice about maintaining or modifying your VLX, I can help you out! Check the Tips and Tricks page for more information.

When I'm not riding, I work as a network technical support specialist for National Health Insurance Corp. I also have a computer networking and repair business that I maintain in my spare time (what little there is of it!). I offer full networking services, including consultation, design, implementation, troubleshooting and administration, both remote and onsite. In addition to network services, I also offer a complete line of custom built computers, from basic systems to extremely high end systems and servers. I also offer a line of renewed computers and lease-return laptops, perfect for the casual user, student or professional on the go! To round out the services, I offer full pc troubleshooting, repair and upgrade services. I also offer a 10% discount for anyone with a valid SCRC membership. If you have any questions, or need anything pc related, contact me at bkputt1@sbcglobal.net.

I've also recently discovered that I am of Scottish descent, so I am actively researching my clan history, Clan Macqueen from the NAIRNSHIRE, ELGINSHIRE and BANFFSHIRE coastal regions of Northern Scotland. I've been able to track down authentic tartan and coat of arms samples, and will be receiving my new formal kilt in a matter of weeks. Kilt on a biker! LOL!

I've also recently discovered that I still love cars! LOL! I've taken on a new project, in the form of a '92 Nissan 240SX coupe. She has the KA24DE DOHC 16 valve engine and a 5 speed trans. I've been big in the Sport Compact area for a long time now, but always with Neons. This will be my first venture into it with an import. I'm really looking forward to getting into it full throttle! Watch the progress at Xdomestic's 240SX!
