Welcome to my Mustang Restoration.

Powered by a Mustang

Let me give you a little history about what you are going to see here.  Well on January 16, 2000 my girlfriend and I bought a 1966 Ford Mustang.  We bought the car with the main intention of fixing it up and keeping it.  This car is also a daily driver for her while we are fixing it up.  I plan to keep this site updated with all the details and pictures of the car as it progress into being REALLY cool.  I also plan to keep a running tab of how much we are spending on the car so if you need an idea you can get one.  So here we go:

When we bought this car, there were many things that I should have looked at before we decided to buy it.  We bought the car at the Pomona Fairgrounds during the swap meet.  When we saw the car for the first time it was at about 6:30 in the morning and it still wasn't light out.  We were looking at another car nearby that was about $1200 more that what we spent on "Jezabelle", (the cars name).  When we bought the car we knew that it needed lots of TLC.  The original estimate of the time frame was about 6 months before we finished the interior and then about another year before we painted it.  So far we have finished the interior in 3 months and had it painted within 6 months.  I have also rebuilt an engine and installed it at one year.  the items that are left are the suspension and stuff like that.  The reason for the 'fast tracking' of the restoration is me.  As soon as we got the car I wanted to start working on it.  We have been very fortunate that we haven't had any unexpected problems.  Well enough right now about all of this.  I have divided the photos into three main areas plus a page with thumbnails to view.  I have tried to give as many before and after pictures as possible.  With my digital camera I have many more pictures at home that I am showing here taking up loads of space.  If you would like to see something specific let me know and I have probably photographed it. ON TO THE PICTURES!!!!
