We believe that as Christians we should care for one another, in word, in deed, and in prayer.  On this page we share prayer concerns of Christians around the world.  You can e-mail us if you want to share your prayer concerns on this page.  (Posting is up to our discretion.)  You can give your name or share a request anonymously.  If you want to be anonymous, just put "from a Christian mom -or father, boy, or girl etc.- in Australia," or wherever you are in the world.  E-mail us at familydiscipleship@disciples.com

zzzzzz A CALL TO PRAYER zzzzzz

Please pray for Christians in Nigeria who have recently experienced many injuries and deaths, and losses of churches, homes, and property.  Many have fled from Kaduna, where the persecution was most severe.  Please pray for them as they rebuild their lives and churches.

The Chinese "One Child Policy" forbids Chinese parents from having more than one child.  When a Christian woman in China becomes pregnant again, she will often move to the mountains to avoid a forced abortion.  We recently heard that China is cracking down on this refuge, moving abortion and sterilization equipment by all-terrain vehicles to these mountain refuges with the goal of reaching a quota of 20,000 abortions and sterilizations (mostly forced) within six months.  Will you pray with us that God will hinder these vehicles by floods, rains, landslides, equipment failures, or whatever means He desires to do?

A woman in India wrote to us and appealed to us in her broken English for help with the church she has planted in a very poor section of India, where the church members  have built a church building, but they are unable to afford the materials to build a roof for their church.  This woman is disabled from a car accident, affecting her legs, and cares for her bed-bound mother without a husband to support her because her husband left her when he found out that she was going to a Christian church and had responded to the gospel and become a Christian.

We can trust God that as we help others through His leading He will see that our gifts to others in His Name are put to good use by Him.  Since we are unable to help this woman ourselves, we felt the only right thing to do would be to pass on her appeal to others who could help her and her poverty stricken fellow Christians.  We cannot accept gifts on her behalf.  We ask you instead to send help to her directly, using her address, given below.

May the Lord richly bless all those who are willing to help this needy woman.  (We know first-hand how difficult life can be with a disability because of Joy Marie's disabilities, which makes this situation one that is very much on our hearts.)  We ask those Christians who cannot help this woman to pray for her.  Her name is Borugadda Premakumari.  Here is her address:

We have been receiving subscription requests from Uganda, India, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Nigeria, and all over the world, where pastors and ministry leaders say they desperately need our magazine to help with their ministries, but who cannot afford an overseas subscription.

Because we live on a tight budget ourselves, we are unable to send all these people free subscriptions.  If you feel led of God to help these people by sending a gift subscription marked " for those who can't afford to subscribe" we know they would appreciate it so much.  Even part of a subscription would help.  Please click on the airplane icon for more details.  Thank you on their behalf!
