| Background: | Bast is the first daughter to Osiris and Hathor. She was raised as any other child would, learning right from wrong. Most she learned by the mistakes she made along the way. When she reached maturity, she went in search of a place she could call her own, like the rest of her siblings have done. Eventually she found this world, once ruled by a now long extict race known as humans. She didn't like what they were doing to the world so she began a campaign to wipe them out. When all but a few scattered tribes were left she started her final blow to them, but she was stopped by the first being, Eth, who taught her that all life is precious and should be allowed to go as they wish. It was then that he, with the help of her parents and herself that they changed the world, those respecting the world being allowed to live while being changed into the creatures seen today. Bast erased all clues of the human existance and led the furs to a new life. For a long time she watched over the new races, mythical and magical once again living with the more 'normal' fur. The different species worshipped their own gods in their own ways while those who found Bast, followed her ways. During this time, she greeted each new species with open arms, with the exception of one, but after many long centries, she did greet them, secretly. All went well until one day, Osiris came to her and bid her to bear a child from a mortal of his choosing, one of her strongest high priests. From their union came Bastet. At first, all was well and good, Bast raising her daughter like her parents raised her, teaching her the same lessons she was taught. Somewhere along the way, Bastet rebelled and started causing trouble. Bastet's most recent trouble being a civil war between the largest towns. Bast, with the aid of her friends and followers, squelched the uprising and at the advise of Osiris, stripped her daughter of all ranking and disbanded her followers. Now, a generation later, trouble is rising again, but from more than one front. This has Bast worried, but she's confident that with help and the power from sacred books which are hidden away, the trouble will be ended. |
| Misc Info: | Bast's powers deal primarily with fertility and the family, but she has learned to use the world's natural powers to keep everything alive and beautiful even during the worst of droughts. Bast does have a weakness, her temper. If she were to angered enough to use high powered magic, she will drain herself into a coma. If this happens, she must rest for a long time, or sleep on her alter to regain her powers again. When in her weakened state, she can be seriously harmed, but can not be killed unless a decree from the father of all gods is passed down. |
| Religion: | Bast is worshipped, she does not worship. |
