Calliope

Calliope comes off as a fairly optimistic, cheerful little creature. Standing at just about 5'1", slim, but well muscled, the anthro burro is obviously a hard worker. She's got broad shoulders, and thick wrists, with big, but gentle looking hands and chubby fingers. Her coat is thin - more like a donkey's than the true thick coat of her quadroped cousins, and colored overall a light, dusty tan. Her muzzle, and the bottom edges of her ears are white, along with a patch around each eye, and a patch along the underside of each cheek, extending a little down her throat. The outer egdes of her ears are a dark brown - almost black, matching the thick, bristly mane that starts between her ears, and ends just before her shoulders.
Peeking up over the low hem of the cream colored peasant blouse she wears, is another patch of white, that probably extends down her chest and belly. The shirt she wears rides low against her arms, equeal with the hem of the neck, so that her shoulders are bare, showing the dark brown 'cross' marking across both shoulders, and down the length of her back, true to her breed. Over the cream colored blouse, she wears a dark brown lace-up bodice, and covering her legs, is a long cream colored skirt, covered in a second skirt that's about five inches shorter than the first, which goes just past her ankles, but doesn't hide her hooves. Around her hip is a leather belt, very well crafted, it seems, from which hangs a small leather pouch, also very well crafted.
Peeking out the back of her dress is her medium-length little burro tail, with dark brown dorsal stripe, and tipped in a patch of dark brown bristly hair. (http://foxflight.artistrealm.org/myart/calliope.jpg)

Background:	Calliope Cavenaugh, youngest of three children from a town neighboring Cat's Haven, where her Father was a tanner, and her Mother was a seamstress. Born into a hard working life, and under the hands of two bigger brothers, Calli steadily grew into a reliant, sturdy, tough young woman with alot of ambition. Growing up, she worked with her Mother and Father in turn, learning the tools and the secrets of the trade, and often-times taking over for her Mother, if she grew ill. Her family owned a small shop in the town, that sold garments for all classes, shoes, belts, bags, tack for horses, linens, and other textile products. Her brothers worked mostly with her Father, cleaning and treating the hides that came in, while Calliope excelled in the fine art of being a seamstress. As Calli got older, though, she struck out on her own, with farewells to her family, to seek out her own future in the business. Eventually running across Cat's Haven, she decided it would be a prime place to try and settle down, and see about running the Tanner's Guild, which was an amazing concept to one who came from such a small town, Guilds were never established.
Misc Info:	Calli's a little naive, as far as things go in Life. She's not violent by nature, but she can fight fairly well...for a while, at least. Her favorite thing to do is follow Oliver around and pester him about this and that. Secretly, she cares for him a rather lot, but she's not quite sure how to express it. After all, they are completely different in almost every way possible. So the best she can manage is to be a constant annoyance.
