Jade

The young elf woman gazing back at you appears to be rather young at first glance. Though it seems she is ignoring all around her, you get the sense that she is fully aware of anyone looking at her. What first captures the attention is the mass of curly russet locks cascading around her long pointed ears and over her shoulders to just above the middle of her back. When the light hits her hair just right, the tint of green can be seen, one of several signs of her true heritage. Although her hair hangs loose, her bangs are gathered back away from her face with pins tipped with green colored gems. The full impact of her emerald gaze can be felt when she finally meets your eyes, staring into them to reveal a wild spirit burning inside. Her delicate face is lightly tanned which makes her eyes stand out as well as her red bow-tie lips and pert little nose.
She wears a simple outfit, made more for comfort and freedom of movement, than for fashion, though on her, it gives her an aristocratic air when she moves. An undecorated, short-sleeved tunic of soft tan colored linen covers her torso, leaving her slender, yet muscular arms bare while obscuring her slender curves. The tunic is belted around her slim waist so that it blouses over the rope belt and forms a very short skirt affect. With her arms bare, the scars of her past battles can be seen. Most of the scars are small and blend in easily, while two, one on each arm near her shoulders, stand out white against the lightly tanned skin. Buckskin breeches, which have seen better days, adorn her legs, giving her what protection they can from the elements. The cuffs of her breeches bell out around her ankles, obscuring her well shined black boots.
As she passes her gaze over you, the glint of golden hoops, and the sparkle of emerald chips are seen hanging from her ears, adding to her natural style. On closer inspection, if she lets you get that close, her tanned skin, pale where it shows, has a naturally occuring whorl pattern like a fine grained wood. The naturally ocuring pattern accents, and in some places, obscures, the scars on her arms, but stands out on its own against the paler skin. Tucked into a sheath at her side, she keeps her dagger handy, the magically imbued weapon glinting bright like silver when ever the metal shows. Hanging from her belt is a small pouch which holds most everything she needs. As she finishes her inspection of you, she gives an imperceptible nod and manages a rather friendly smile.

Background:	Jade reveals little of her background. All she really lets anyone know is that she was born among wood elves, but her parents left the main congregations to live alone in the woods when she reached her second decade and she started showing signs of her mixed heritage.The most memorable of her life and the only moment she freely tells anyone is when she witnessed the hatching of her dragonette familiar, impressing him as her bond for that day onward. For the past 300 odd years, the two have been inseperatable. When she was about 250, before impressing her familiar, Jade first met her 'cousins', the wood nymphs and dryads. She couldn't befriend any of them until she found a dryad injured in the forest while hunting and helped nurse her back to health. Since then, she has been a part of their society, calling on them for help, or looking into things concerning the world outside the forests for them. Because of recent events, much of her life has changed, but still leaves p lenty for her to explore and discover.
Misc Info:	One thing about Jade is that she shows little fear. When she does, it is for a very good reason. Even fearing another being is only with good reason. this could be due to the fact that she isn't quite what many think at first glance. She is by no means a magic user in the sense that most are familiar with. What little magic she does know comes naturally to her and has been taught to her by her wood fae cousins. Although she is a friendly, outgoing and quite miscievous, she is unable to show the emtions of love, or hate in any amount of extreme. Its not that she doesn't want to, she just doesn't have the capacity to do either. The one fully learned talent she has is playing the flute. She has in her possession a silver flute made by elves which she loves to play.
