The being sitting before is a creature few have seen though it looks so similar to other feline species. Although this feline looks like a large winged cougar, he isn't. He is a creation of the goddess, Bast, and one of her Temple guardians from days of old. Looking at this noble creature, you see soft golden brown fur covering his entire body from the tips of his slightly rounded ears to the tip of his twitching tail. The fur is densest on his neck, chest and belly with the rest shorter and a bit thinner. There is only a very slight color change to a lighter shade on his underside. Green-gold eyes stare out at the as if pondering the many ages he's seen or some other unfathomable aspect of life.
Overall he is a little larger in size than a cougar with a slightly more stocky build. All his proprtions would be considered ideal to any feline race. Where ever skin shows, such as the inside his ears, nose pad, and the tough pads on his paws, it is a medium shade of brown, giving his fur a slightly darker, glowing appearance in the right light. From just behind his shoulders, a pair of draconic wings sprout, measuring well over 15 feet from tip to tip with a sharp claw at the last joint where the 'finger' bones attach. The skin on his wings is a golden brown color to match his fur with only a light fuzz along the 'arm' bones. His tail is long with a single very thin bad of white close to the tip and the fur longer, like a tuft at the tip.
His claws, when ever he decides to use show them, are a perfect match to his coat so that they blend in and go unnoticed until its too late. With a yawn and rather seemingly bored look, he looks over those that observe him then goes about his business with nothing more than a light huff.

Background:	Nightshade's background is lost to the fod of the ancient past. All anyone needs to know about him now, si that he is an avatar for the goddess Bast. He has worked for her for as long as he can remember. After so many centuries of sleeping, he has returned to do her bidding once again and protect her from the forces which seek to end her reign as Keeper.
Misc Info:	This cat is able to turn himself into a statue at will while his goddess is in need of him. Other than this, he is a natural born hunter and fighter, using his natural weapons to his advantage.
