| Background: | Silver, named for her silvery colored hair, is the youngest daughter of MorningStar and BlazeTrail. She and the rest of her family grew up wandering the world of two moons, stopping to hunt with other elf tribes occassionally, yet never staying long to form any real friednships or ties. The only real ties she ever had were with her oldest brother, Sunspot, and the two other families that traveled with her's. When she was about half way through her third decade, her parents decided to split from the rest and take her and her siblings to search elsewhere away from human habitation and towards better hunting grounds. At about her sixth decade, she lost her parents to a sudden human raid on a hunt near the end of the cold season. This traumatized Silver to the point of never uttering a word and very, very rarely ever sending to anyone again. Left with just her brothers, sister, and their wolffriends, she traveled as far from any other habitation that she could. While traveling through a rocky mountain passage, her sister Skye disappeared leaving no signs what so ever and hadn't been seen since. During the search for her sister, Silver's youngest brother, StarRacer, fell to his death, leaving just her and SunSpot to travel the world alone. Though feeling alone and lost in the world, Silver traveled with her wolffriend, FurFire, as the only strong mental contact she maintains, not even her brother could snap her out of wolfsong. It wasn't until after she met two elves, PreyRunner and NightBloom, that she and her brother stopped their wandering and eventually joined the Warren tribe. For several years, she didn't speak, her few sends filled only with bright images to communicate what she wanted. As she became more comfortable and started feeling like she belonged, she began to send, but still never spoke a word, her voice gone permanently after so many years of silence. What few sounds se did make were gutteral at best unless she were howling with her wolf friend. Like all wolves, her wolffriend FurFire aged and eventually disappeared into the forest one cold late winter evening to never return, leaving her alone once again. She took the loss of her wolf in stride, mourning for a while, but never found that special wolf to form a new bond with. It was her daughter, MorningRose, that helped to buffer her grief, keeping her from entering wolfsong once again. During her stay with the Warren tribe, she fell in love with DarkTree, an elf half her age, but full of life. After several years, he left on a journey, leaving while she slept. Later, she met and recognized Moonshadow, MorningRose's father. During the years she, DarkTree and Moonshadow were together, she was happy and content, but one night while taking refuge from a raging blizzard in a cave, she stepped into a pool of stagnant magic left behind by the High Ones long ago, transporting her to a new world with only one moon and stranger creatures. She's alone now, seperated from her family and friends and trying to find a way home. |
