STORY OF THE TOWN OF CAT'S HAVEN

The story behind Cat's Haven starts many years ago when Sabbath Silverclaw and her friends and family left their home by the catle in the sky to live peacefully away from the noise. They traveled deep into the forests following the Purrwhisper River to a clearing, suitable for starting a new home.

This clearing is much like Sabbath had dreamed of for so long a time, since the destruction of her clan. Still new to her immortality and heavy with child, she made the clearing home. After settling in and giving birth to her only son she built the Temple of BAST the way she had seen it in a dream. In the two years that it took to build the Temple, more furs joined Sabbath and the others in the clearing.

Without even intentionally doing it, the village grew in a circular fashion with the river flowing past on the nothermost end. The homes were made on the outside edges while the businesses that popped up were built to the inside. The Temple became the center of the village for many, many years, when finally the gardens were turned into a park for all to visit and use. It was in this park that Sabbath accepted the leadership placed on her shoulders and named the village, Cat's Haven. Her son, who she named Silverclaw after an ancestor, stood by her side, a tall lean young male, nearly full grown. Sabbath's cousin, Shy-Dow, and her family helped as they could in the running of the village affairs.

Many years pass and Sabbath still remains as young looking as she did when she first saw the clearing, her cousin slowly aging, but still looking yong and vibrant. Their children grew up and made their own families, expanding the village population. New furs apeared and took up residence, some in the village, some out in the forests surounding it. All accepting Sabbath's leadership.

One day, early in the morning, Sabbath and her cousin left the village, never to return. Years passed and the village grew and no sign of them was ever found, only their tracks leading into the forest and ending abruptly as if they were taken away. Some say that the godess BAST came and took them to their rest in the Celestial Temple while others say that they ran off, tired of leading them.

In their memory, Silverclaw commisioned a statue, which now stands in the center of the park, of Sabbath, creating as she always loved to do. Hidden close by is a small glade with everything that she loved for those furs who wished to use them. Her love for the village and the furs who lived there showed as it continued to grow to the size it is now. Most everyone had forgotten the first leader and her mysterious disappearance, but her son still lives, searching for her, guided by the ancestors he learned about as young cub in his mother's arms. This is where the story leaves off, for you the furry, to advance and change. Maybe someday, Sabbath and Shy-Dow will appear again, ready to take over or just to cause some mischief.
