CHEROKEE 140

One day my brother and I were out walking Corona Airport when we came upon a Cherokee 140 for sale. My brother commented on how he had always liked the look of the low wing plane and still wanted to fly one someday. That was all the encouragement I needed. The next thing we knew, that plane was in my hangar being restored. Todd, my nephew Dustin and I logged several hours in the 140 before we had to sell it. It sure was some easy flying compared to other high performance planes. I think the reduced work load flying the Cherokee really started to turn my attention toward homebuilts…I still wonder if my brother knew I was going to build one before I did.
