Results of the Westside High Speech Tournament and photos

While other schools had a participating squad of over 20 to 50 members, Kerr High took a squad of only 15. Yet this squad swept and contolled the Lincoln/Douglas debate arena, placing 3rd place and high speaker points with Omar. In the Novice division, Kerr had 2 3rd place trophies with Peter and Koplan. Also in the novice division, Sarah came away with a trophy in best speaker. Kerr had seven of its eight team having a greater than 60% win.

In the dance division, Napoor left the stage with a first place trophy.

The coach was very proud of the teams hard work and expressed thanks for the support of administration and teachers who helped and understood the importance of learning procss that the students are going through.

Special thanks are in order to the many members of the debate and speech squad who stayed behind, yet they helped in developing cases, coached each other, gave moral support.
