Misc Notes: These ships are considered the "Cargo Variant" of the Whidbey Island class. These ships sacrifice the large well deck of the Whidbey Island for increased cargo capacity. Actually, these ships should be LPD's.  The well deck is 50% smaller increasing cargo capacity by 800%
