The intent is to draw out the group in comparing Scripture with Ecclesiasticus.
1. Many difficulties arise because of translational problems.
2. New: To fear the Lord is to be satisfied with wisdom.
To fear the Lord is the source of wisdom.
To fear the Lord is a crown of wisdom.
6. Compare James 1:19
8. Ecclesiasticus brings in the concept of greed as part of the equation. Otherwise things seem consistent.
9. Compare 2 Cor 9:7
11. The reference in Ecclesiasticus 38:5 may be from Ex 15:22-25.
