A note from Dan: "We got married Oct. 16, 2003 in Osaka and later held a small reception with
the extended Ogawa family in Kobe, Taeko's hometown. We played dress-up
twice, once in formal "Western-style" dress, the other in traditional
Japanese wedding attire. Dressing down in Japanese-style was a trip. It took
three assistants to help get Taeko ready and by the end of our photo
session, her neck was sagging from the weight of the headpiece. Can't say I
know the symbolic Shinto meaning of the various pieces I'm wearing - i.e.
the fuzzy dice hanging across my gut - but the silk was fine and
comfortable."
