Served in the Army from 1951-1953 during the Korean War.
Jerome and Ruth moved to a farm south of Beaver City, NE in 1957, and raised their four children. Here Jerome was a director of the Rural Fire Board, a member of the St. Germanus' Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, 4th degree Knight of Columbus, Beaver City Lions Club, Furnas Co. Livestock Feeders Assoc., Grange of Beaver City and American Legion Post No. 28.
He died from injuries in a farm accident that occurred June 14, 1988.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Ralph W. Lynch, 66, Kansas City, died Monday, July 7, 2003.
Mr. Lynch was born May 30, 1937, in Norton. He was a retired computer programmer for Jackson County Community College in Kansas City.
Survivors include two sisters, Mary Becker of Logan, Kan., and Frances Goetz of Grinnell, Kan.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Catholic Church, Logan. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Logan.
A wake will be at 8 p.m. today at Logan Funeral Home, 102 E. Church, P.O. Box 217, Logan 67646
