Robert W. Jaenicke, son of RIchard and Mollie Jaenicke was born in Phillips Co., KS Oct 5th 1881. After a brief illness, which followed a deep sorrow caused by the death of his wife a few days before, he too, passed into rest Sept. 11, 1928. He had attained the age of 46 years. His untimely demise occurred at the home of his sister, Mrs. Emma Fischili, at Logan. On Oct. 19, 1904 he was joined in marriage with Mary D. Baker, daughter of Mr. & Mrs James Baker of Webster, KS. His wife preceded him in deather just 19 days. Four children were born into this home, James, John, Dorothy and Hellen, all of who survive. The three younger children were living at the parental home, James the elder lives a short distance south of Logan. Mr. Jaenicke was confirmed in the Lutheran Church near the family home northeast of Logan on May 25, 1902. Beside his chidren, the deceased leaves two brothers, Emil Jaenicke, Alma NE and Richard Jaenicke of Rt. 1 Logan, three sisers Mary Veh of Densmore, Emma Fischli of Logan and Mollie Schick of Rt. 1, Logan. The body was returned from the sister's to the Jaenicke home east of Logan where the funeral service were held on Setp. 13th with F. M McDonald officiating. The same singers sang the same songs that were used at the funeral of Mrs. Jaenicke just 19 days previous. At both funerals the procession that followed the mortal remains to the Logan cemetery was more than two miles in length.

Mary D. Baker, daughter of Mr & Mrs. James Baker was born in Rooks Co., KS June 18, 1886. On Oct. 19, 1904 she was united in marriage to Robert W. Jaenicke, to which union four children were born - James, John, Dorothy and Helen.
She passed away Thursday, August 23, 1928 at age 42, leaving a husband, four chidren, father & mother and many other relatives & friends
Funeral services were held Satuday afternoon at the Jaenicke home, conducted by Rev. F. M. McDonald of Stockton, Interment was in the Logan cemetery.

Directions: I-70 east or west take the Fruita
exit. Going towards the main part of town. At the stop sign near City
Market make a right and get into the circle. Go around the circle to
Mesa Ave. Turn right on Mesa Ave. (only a right turn from the circle) go
down Mesa Ave to 4 way stop. Stay on Mesa Ave straight ahead. Cemetery
is past the housing developments located on the left side of the road.
Cemetery can be seen from Mesa Ave. It is fenced in and there is a sign
posted with the hours and times a person is on duty.
