Margaret and Samuel Moved to Sullivan Co., Mo and are found there in the 1870 census. Later they went to Ayr, Adams Co., NE area where Margaret died in 1875. Margaret swallowed a pin which lodged in her throat and she lived only a few days after that.

Ayr, on the Hastings and Red Cloud branch of the B. & M. R.R. is in Adams county, 12 miles south of Hastings. The population of the town is 150 and about 250 farmers receive mail at this office. Two large grain elevators provide storage and shipping facilities. There are a Presbyterian and a Methodist church here. Several new buildings are being erected.
