DISCIPLINE: |
| |
Church of the Savior Child Care Center's staff use positive discipline. Our goal is to recognize children for positive behavior with special notes and praise. We remove the child from a situation with "time out" when there is a behavior problem. When the problem continues the child is brought to the office. The Director or Assistant Director will call the parents to discuss the problem. When a child has repeated behavior problems or hurts another child or teacher, the Director will call the parents to pick the child up from the Center for the rest of the day.

PARENT INPUT: |
| |
Parents are one of our most valuable resources at Church of the Savior Child Care Center. Children love for their parents to share special times with them and their friends. Parents, if you have a hobby, sport, sing, dance, are a storyteller, or have a vocation that would interest the children or be a good field trip, please call the Director to set a time for you to share with us. |
| |
| |
Please call the Director if you have any suggestions, concerns, questions about a given situation, a problem with your child or their teacher, or when you or your child really like something we are doing. We want your child to experience the very best care, activities and education possible, and your input helps us to achieve that goal. |
| |

PARENT REFERRALS: |
| |

PROMOTION OF CHILDREN: |
| |
Children six (6) weeks - three (3) years are promoted by child development rather than age. Children will visit the new class several times for short periods of time, so they can adjust to the new class. Children promoting to the two (2) year old room must be able to attend all day without a bottle. |
| |
| |
Three (3) year olds must be potty trained before they can move to the preschool classes. Because of limited classroom space, we have a young three (3) year old class and an older three (3) year old class. |
