We are involved in Mission

We believe that worship, study and fellowship strengthen us for mission; Church of the Savior seeks to be faithful to the Christ who prayed "that they may all be one, that the world may believe."

Volunteer service is strongly emphasized. A Volunteer Service Directory has been prepared which lists 23 causes supported by the congregation-every thing from Mobile Meals and an outstanding Child Care Center on the premises, to community-based programs such as CONTACT (a crisis-intervention telephone ministry). Members are encouraged to discover their God-given gifts and use them to help others.

For several years, it has been the policy of this congregation that the percentage increase each year in the amount given to mission will be 3 times the increase in operating expenses. Approximately twenty-five cents out of every new dollar goes to mission, and the amount is growing. Some of our Mission causes are Presbyterian Urban Mission, Northwest Outreach, Habitat for Humanity, World Neighbors, and the National and International Mission programs of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and the United Church of Christ.

We gather for Fellowship

We believe that God created us for life together. God's goal for human life is not the perfection of individuals-in-isolation but individuals-in-community. Apart from God and each other, we cannot be the persons we were created to be.

Opportunities for fellowship, Women's Circle, Quilters Group, Movie/Theater Group, All Church Suppers, Picnics, and Anniversary Dinners, to name only a few.

We Study

We believe that the Christian education is not an "optional" activity for those with the time and interest but the life-long responsibility of every follower of Christ.

  A well-rounded educational program includes:
  Church school

  Confirmation

Weekly Men's Breakfast / Bible Study

Short term adult electives, Spring and Fall

  Annual Theological Lecture Series

Issue Forums which explore both sides of current social issues.

We Worship

We believe that worship is more than a "religious" activity. As we offer ourselves in worship we discover our identity as human beings who are created "to praise God and enjoy God forever".

Sunday services are offered at 8:30 and 10:50 a.m. Additional worship opportunities include Christmas Eve, Wednesday nights during Lent, Maundy Thursday, and Good Friday. The sacrament of the Lord's Supper is celebrated at least eight times yearly. Children's baptism days are recognize each month. An outstanding Choir significantly enhances the worship experience.
