Opinions. I have enough for everyone! Don't have an opinion on a particular subject? Email me and I'll be happy to supply you with one FREE of charge!

Here's what I think about some miscellaneous stuff:

Microsoft(R) Internet Explorer Microsoft - King of bugs. If you're using Internet Explorer don't click on the IE logo to the left unless you want to crash your browser... tempted ain'tcha?
Hey look what came in the mail! Can you believe this?!?
8/24/02 - Tonight I decided to order pizza via the Internet. PapaJohns.com has a fantastic website! Ordering pizza was quick and painless. You have a variety of deals to choose from and building your own pizza on the 'Net is fun! You can even build 'em half and half if you so desire.

I placed my order on a Saturday night at 8:50pm. I was sent a confirmation email with my order number, total and approximate delivery time of 45 minutes. I had the pizza in my little paws at precisely 10:02pm. It was a Saturday night and I was expecting something of a delay, but an hour and twelve minutes was disappointing. All in all I am satisfied with the results and plan to order from their website again, but another hour plus delivery time and that may be my last order from their website. I now plan on looking into ordering from other pizza places and writing a full report.

8/30/02 - Update - ordered from the website again and again it took over an hour. The problem here is not the website, but that they're just slow. Ordering from the website is great though!

I have SBC DSL and let me tell you, I have HAD IT with those idiots! Click their logo for the full report.

Justice. Something our country prides itself on. Well, there are minor injustices that happen everyday all over this country that have bugged me for a long time. Specifically, monetary penalties. It was a traffic ticket that brought this injustice to my attention several years ago. With traffic tickets there is usually a set fee that you pay as a penalty. The problem here is that penalty does not punish all violators equally. For example, a person that makes $40,000 /year and someone who makes $20,000 /year both get a ticket that penalizes them for $100.00. Is this penalty equally Just? I think not. I would argue that the person with the lower income is being penalized twice as much! To a millionaire such a ticket would only be a minor inconvenience. To someone who barely makes enough to get by such a ticket can really have a negative impact.

So what's the solution? It is primarily my intention to point out the problem here and not necessarily offer a solution. That said, obviously we want to penalize everyone equally. If you insist on a monetary penalty it should be scaled to income or proportional. This is fraught with problems. A temporal approach makes more sense. Time consuming things like community service would be more Just. Certainly there are many combinations of Just solutions out there, but the current approach is quite Unjust.

Martha Stewart is taking all kinds of heat right now over her "insider trading" allegations. Personally, I think it is unreasonable to expect / require someone NOT to act on available information when such large amounts of money are at stake. If it were MY $230,000 worth of stock I would have done the same thing! Show your support for the domestic diva by visiting her site!
I consider myself something of a junk food connoisseur. Vanilla Coke is out and I just had to have some. The verdict? Well, it doesn't taste like Coke and it doesn't really taste like vanilla. Think "New Coke" with a couple of packets of Sweet and Low. Skip the Vanilla Coke, grab yourself a Coke Classic and enjoy a real junk food treat- Andy Capp's Hot Fries.
AOL's network and "browser" leave a LOT to be desired. Find out my thoughts on AOL here.

Muzzy can attest, "tearing up the bathroom cabinets is hard work!"

Update 8/21/02 - Muzzy got a flea dip today. I sense he is plotting revenge... ut oh.
