David Welling is a graphic designer, illustrator and writer, with a broad background in both commercial and fine arts. His prior expertise in print has expanded in recent years to accomodate Web design. He has served as a senior designer at American General, designer and art director for Halliburton, and advertising artist at the Houston Post. Additional clients have included Ogilvy & Mather, the Houston International Festival, KKBQ-93Q Radio, Corestaff, Hintz Advertising, KLOL-K101 Radio, Taylor Brown Smith & Perrault, Sykes Communications, KRIV-TV, School of the Woods and Houston Grand Opera.

David has been affilliated with the Art Director's Club of Houston (ADCH), the Writers’ League of Texas, and the Houston Society of Illustrators (HSI). He was elected to the HSI Board of Directors from 1992 through 1995.

A native Texan—he was raised in Alvin—David currently lives in Houston with his wife and two children.
