S-Tec System 55 integrated autopilot, with Electric Trim and with Altitude Preselecter/Alerter, which integrates with the Garmins and the Sandel to provide an unexcelled experience in flying “hands off” approaches. This a pure rate-based autopilot, offering smooth, precise, dependable performance.
Approaches can be flown entirely "hands off", whether front or back course, DME arcs (yes, it flies them automatically, and turns inbound on the final approach course!), or ILS's (flown locked on the localizer and glideslope all the way down to DH!).
