The ride to Abilene today was absolutely beautiful. We had some wind behind us, cooler temperatures, and some wonderful Kansas scenery. I made it to town around noon or 1pm, I think. It really felt good to have some cooperative weather after the previous few days' heat and wind and rain and hail and tornado warnings.
Dinner was found at the Brookville Hotel . This establishment serves family style: fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, cream corn, biscuits...just the thing for hungry bikers.
Back at the high school, we entertained ourselves by trying to ride these goofy contraptions.
