A native of Bakersfield, California Dennis Wilson began playing music at Horace Mann Elementary School in the late 1950's and studied privately with Dr. Charles Thelen for several years. While attending East Bakersfield High School Dennis participated in numerous Honor Bands and Orchestras (state and local), was a member of the Bakersfield Junior College Marching Band and performed with the Electric Oil Sump. Dennis also taught private clarinet and saxophone lessons to many young local musicians for several years.
In the 60's and 70's Dennis performed with "The Continentals" (later to become "The Reptiles") and "The Fables". In the 80's and 90's he was a member of "The Radiators", "Tony Ernst and After Hours", "One Night Stand", "Rough Edges", "Foster and Friends" and appeared with several other local bands on occasion. From September 1997 until 2004 Dennis played sax, keyboard and sang back-up vocals with the popular Bakersfield Rock & Roll, Rhythm & Blues band "Eddie & The Islanders."
Dennis has performed at various venues and events from San Diego to Sacramento. Over 40 years of experience in every facet of music imaginable enabled Dennis to compile a showcase of musical selections that includes Big Band, Rock & Roll and Contemporary specializing in standards and easy listening.
A fellow musician has said of Dennis' sax playing,
"it is to die for!"
Dennis has entertained many of you and your guests with a custom-tailored performance at many local parties and large concerts.
