Dwayne is one of the premier bassists in the D/FW Metroplex, instructing beginners as well as advanced bassists in JAZZ, ROCK, POP, Funk, GOSPEL, Reading Notation and Music Theory along with the approach to playing Keyboard Bass.

Dwayne is the bassist for one of Dallas's hottest bands, EMERALD CITY BAND, voted most popular band by the Dallas Morning News. In addition to playing at some of the hottest night spots in the Metroplex, EMERALD CITY also performs at many corporate functions as well as weddings and social events.

|
Playing so many different events requires an ability to play numerous styles, from Frank Sinatra to Willie Nelson to Michael Jackson to The Rolling Stones. Additionally, to successfully switch between Pop and R&B music, you must be able to switch from bass guitar to keyboard bass. THESE ARE SKILLS DWAYNE WORKS ON WITH HIS STUDENTS!

Dwayne is also busy on the Gospel scene. He shares his ministry and committment at Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, belting out blistering lines of great Gospel bassist'ss like Fred Hammond, Andrew Gouche, Joel Smith, and Abe Laboriel. Dwayne also ministers at other churches in the Metroplex, including Highland Park United Methodist Church, Park Cities Baptist Church, and Metro Church in Garland, Texas.

STAGE GEAR
Dwayne plays a 4 string Alembic, 5 string Fender Jazz, 5 string Ken Smith and a 6 string Tobias. His amp is a World Tour Eden 800 with a SWR Goliath II 4x10 cabinet along with a 2x10 Goliath Jr. With a 12 space rack full of necessities and stomp boxes, Dwayne has the ability to pull off the variety of styles the serious bassist seeks to achieve.
