Side Projects

This list is just a partial list. There are probably many other bands that the Accept or U.D.O. members have played in. I'm just listing the ones that I have heard.

Special thanks goes to Alex Parche who has allowed me to make available on here 3 songs. They are in zipped mp3 format. I don't have cd quality recording capabilities...they are in "near cd" quality.

Neat Records 1983

This is a vinyl single containing two tracks. Born To Be Wild and Inquisitor. Produced by Udo and Michael Wagener!

1992 SPV-T.A.O.B

I first purchased Son Of A Healer a few years ago and really liked it a lot. In fact the song sung by Udo is not my favorite song on it! This cd pictured above I won in an auction recently and was told by Alex that it's hard to come by. There's a lot of keyboard playing...and hearing Udo singing a couple songs that sound mid-80s mainstreamish is real cool!! The website with band info, album listings, and Alex's e-mail is at: http://www.alexparche.de/

Udo co-wrote the music on all but tracks 5 and 6. He co-wrote the lyrics on all but track 5. Singer for each song in ()

Trax: 1.Life Of Hell (Leon Goewie)

1993 Teichiku Records

Top from left: Alex Parche (guitars, bass), Vocalists Udo Dirkschneider, Amazone, Fernando Garcia, Paul Bridgewater

Bottom from left: Vocalists Ted Bullet, Leon Goewie, Crazy Joe....Luke Herzog (Keyboards, bass), Martin Werner (drums)

Udo co-wrote music on all but tracks 5,8,11 and 14

He co-wrote lyrics on all but tracks 2,5,8,10,11, and of course 14

Trax: 1.Son of a Healer (Fernando)

Parche- Prohibido El Paso

1994- CSE Records

I was a little dissapointed with this album. Not nearly as good as the first 2. And it's surprising because again Udo did a lot of co-writing (on 9 of the 13 trax). Udo sings on track #12.

1) Prohibido El Paso 2) Medicine Show 3)Salvation City 4)Heat of the Night 5)Sons of Evil 6)Run For Your Life 7)Tear It Up 8)Worlds Apart 9)Straight to Hell 10)Call of the Night 11)Death of Innocence 12)Pain in the Neck  13)Judgement Day

Andy Susemihl: Life Among The Roaches
"Life Among The Roaches" 1996?? Gun Attack Records

The former U.D.O. guitarist's solo outing. Solo in almost every sence! On this album he wrote all the songs (with a co-writer on one track), does most all the guitar work, lead vocals, co-produced and co-mixed the album. This album is different, but I enjoyed it very much on first listen. Some heavier songs, but much of it is more blues-ier. Somewhat in the style of some of Jimi Hendrix's stuff. Hard for me to explain, you'll just have to check it out! Also one other sidenote; Jorg Fischer is in the thank-you's.

Trax: Am Canoga, Rain, Diggin' In The Dirt, Brother Louie, Neverland, Spirits In My Head, Our Love, Dusty Road

1996 Century Media

This album featured an unusual lineup for U.D.O. and was the first time that a lot of us knew that Stefan K. played guitar. The lineup was: Udo, Stefan Kaufmann (g), Mathias Dieth (g), Michael Voss (b), Stefan Schwarzmann (d)

Also appearing on the album was Jorg Fischer on guitars for the band Doom Squad.

My favorte song on the album is Saxon's You've Got Another Thing Comin' which I like better than the Priest version.

Trax: The Hellion/Electric Eye- Helloween

Other projects that I know of, but don't currently have any of the music are:

Peter has worked with Dokken and John Norrum. There's a '93 concert video of Dokken with Peter floating around. Balls is even in the setlist. But the guy wanted $20+ for it which I don't have.

Stefan S. of UDO played in a band called X-Wild which Jerry tells me is great.

Wolf of course has his solo album, and has wrote songs with Sabatian Bach...there's more info about this on another website. But you know, I can't remember offhand what that site is called.

Mathias Dieth played in a band called Ape. As I mentioned in the UDO section of the page, I bought the "Human Greed" cd for around $30 and soon sold it at a used record store for $1. The guy kept looking at it with a wierd look on his face probably thinking "What kind of wierd shit is this?" If I had the album cover scanned and on here, all you would see is each band member standing naked with both hands covering the family jewels. The music was worse than the cover! My brother mistook it for the soundtrack to JR Tolken's "The Hobbit".

Also Udo's brother Peter Dirkschneider plays in Vanize. I have a dubbed copy of the first album only. I need to purchase both cds soon! Very similar to Accept! I also have a dubbed copy of an album from his previous band Danton. It contains probably the worst heavy metal song I've ever heard ("Black, Red and Gold"). Check out:
