Frames for Catboat Daysailor

Here are some photographs of the frame panels cut for my little catboat.

The frames and other parts were cut from 6mm thick BS 1088 Marine grade Okume plywood, and the tramsom framed with Douglas fir. Scarph joints epoxy glued to get 16 foot panels or join parts with but blocks. Marked one side and one bilge panel on a 16 by 4 foot sheet to make sure both could be cut from it. Port and starboard panels are cut just outside the line then clampped together and planed down to the line so the sides are symetrical. Laminate the stem from 5 layers of ply then shape the 45 degree angles where the side and bilge panels attach.
