Up to this point, we've only had cats. That's really a matter of practicality. Until July 2001, we lived in a condo and didn't feel that we had enough space for a dog. To respect Pepsii's wishes, we don't plan to have a dog as long as Pepsii is with us. |

Nicki was the first cat to join the family. Her full name was Nicole Jeannette Isabelle. Nicki passed away in late January 2001. She was about 12 years old when she died. She died peacefully in her sleep. |

Pepsii was the middle cat. Her full name is Pepsii Rielly. Pepsii had a tragic childhood. She, along with her siblings, were thrown out of a car in a pillowcase during a horrible rain and thunderstorm. We were supposed to take her in for the night until they could find a home for her. Needless to say, Pepsii had found her home with us. To this day, she still hates thunderstorms and we get some real bad ones here in Houston. Pepsii was named after a singer who was popular at the time when she joined us. Pepsii is the only cat who is still with us. She is currently about 11 years old. |

Midnight was the youngest cat. She was supposed to be another temporary visitor but, of course, ended up as a permanent resident. Midnight got out one day while Dave was cleaning the storm windows back in New York. Even though we desperately tried to find her, we never did. She would be about 9 years old today. |
