Recorded live at the Hammersmith Odeon, London. The quality of this cd is pretty good. If you're into collecting, It's a must have. The early shows are hard to find and this is one of the better ones. You can find some of these songs on the "KHANADA" bootleg. "JUST GOT A GROOVE ON" is actually a cover of the Isley Brothers "TELL ME IT'S JUST A RUMOUR".

Sound: Excellent. This is a nice collection of select tracks from 2 gigs. Here we get two versions of "FAME", a song that doesn't show up on many bootlegs. The 2nd version can also be found on the bootleg "PERFECT DAYS: NOW AND THEN ". As I mentioned in the comments for that cd, there is a French announcer talking over the intro. On this cd the announcer talks over the intros to all of the Captine Video songs. Suprisingly, I'm not too annoyed by this.

This is one of my favorite early bootlegs. Sleeve says recorded live in America 1981 but I believe it's from the Hammersmith Odeon in England. Recorded the 16th of December. "FAME" is from the Captine Video gig as you can tell from the announcer talking over the intro. Check out the cd "CLUB PARADISO AND CAPITAINE VIDEO GIGS" for more songs from this show. Tracks 13 & 15 are said to be recorded in Detroit, Michigan, 1982.

Excellent Studio Recording. Is this the definitive version of "RIO"? It is to me. This was the version I had on vinyl that got played to death. It has the longer versions of "HUNGRY LIKE THE WOLF", "LONELY IN YOUR NIGHTMARE", "HOLD BACK THE RAIN" & "MY OWN WAY". I was always disapointed with Capitol Records CD version of this album. This is the one I've always wanted.

Sound Quality: Very Good Audience. Recorded live at the Greek Theater, Los Angeles, California. 27th July, 1982. This was the very last date of the 1982 RIO WORLD TOUR. Simon tells the crowd that they've come 8,000 miles to meet the LA crowd. As far as the sound quality goes, it's great! Totally loud, totally audible. There are a few people near the recording device who talk every once in a while, but the rest of the crowd are a non factor.

Another Excllent live show here. This was one of the first bootlegs I ever found. It was more of an "official" release from some European company. The original sleeve art was horrible (not even a photo of the band) so I've created my own. Plus they called "PLANET EARTH", "Planet Heart". Makes me think that the title of the cd should have been "PLANET EARTH" instead. This version of "MAKE ME SMILE" was eventually used as the B-Side to "THE REFLEX ", only this one is a little bit longer.
