Mom
My
mom's name is Mingyou Chen. She was born in Shanghai, China. My
grandfather was a business man. My mom has six brothers and sisters.
My
mom attended Nanjing University and she was a Physics major. After
she graduated, she went to Beijing and became an engineer at the
Chinese Academy of Science where she met my dad. They were married
in 1967. My parents had me, their first and only child, in 1968.
My mom named me after her last name, Chen.
My
mom is an outgoing person. She enjoys traveling. She has been
to many places in China and around the world. She also enjoys
learning new things and making new friends. She keeps close contact
with her friends from all over the world. My mom knows how to
speak Mandarin, Shanghainese, Fujianese, English and French.
Cooking
is one of my mom's specialities. She makes many delicious Chinese
dishes and different style of dim sum.
