1. Jesse Dodd was born on 12 Jul 1757 in North Carolina. He died on 17 Oct 1839 in Winston County, Alabama. He was buried in Baughn Cemetery, Lynn, Winston County, Alabama. He was married to Cloe Miller (daughter of William Miller) on 7 Aug 1779 in Wake County, North Carolina.
Cloe Miller was born about 1762.) She died before 1836.

In 1829 he received a land grant of 100 acres and moved to Monroe County, Mississippi around 1830 where he is listed in 1830 1840 census. Last record of him is getting a land grant of 30+ acres in Marshall County in 1849. In 1830 he is listed with 2 sons 5 daughters. In 1840 he is listed with 1 son 4 daughters.
SECOND GENERATION
4. Berry Dodd was born in 1787 in Wilkes County, Georgia. He died in 1860 in Winston County, Alabama. He was buried in Baughn Cemetery, Lynn, Winston County, Alabama. He was a farmer in Eldridge, Winston County, Alabama. He was an attorney & farmer. Berry moved to Riddle's Bend, St. Clair County, Alabama in 1819. In 1821 he purchased land in nearby Blounty County. Judge John Bennett Weaver stated that the Dodd families of Walker Winston Counties came to Alabama from Georgia and settled in Walker County in 1824. In 1848 Berry owned 40 acres in Walker County, the portion in which Berry lived became Hancock County in 1850. The 1860 Census of Winston county shows 74 year old Berry living with his granddaughter Catherine Dodd.
He was married to Mary (Polly) Sheffield (daughter of Adam Sheffield and Priscella Merrett) on 25 Sep 1810 in Franklin County, Georgia.
Mary (Polly) Sheffield was born about 1792 in North Carolina.(27) She died in 1860.

Frances Isabelle WALTERS (GGranddaughter of Patterson Dodd) married William Henry BREAZEAL (Grandson of Joel Henry Brazeal) on 08 Oct 1899 in Grant Co, AR Bk C-409 by D R Wray J P. She was born 16 Jan 1885 and died 02 Mar 1955 in Grant Co Arkansas. She is buried in Corinth Cemetry, Grant Co AR
