Instructions for
a do-it-yourself kit are as follows:
Go to Home Depot, preferably
with a PVC cutter if you have one (or you can buy one there) and a tape
measure.
Purchase 4 20' sections of
1" PVC, one bag of 1" female-female couplings, and a 10' section of
rebar. They usually have bolt cutters near the rebar so that you
can rapidly cut it yourself there in the store instead of having to use
a hack saw at home. Total cost so far
is around $15.00
(PVC costs about $2.50 each,
the bag of couplings $2.50 and the 10' of rebar is
around $3.00).
When you get out to your
car, measure off 4 foot sections of the PVC and cut them there in the
parking lot so they fit in your vehicle. Now go to a local soccer
supply store or visit somewhere like
www.soccersupplies.com and
purchase 4 corner flags. You're also going to need to find a
carrying bag to haul all of the PVC pipe and rebar in. I found a
ski bag at Sport Mart for about
$15.00 that works adequately.

The finished product for one
of the goals should look more or less like the one in this photo.
The hoops may bulky, not
very pretty and may break a lot on collisions but they're an inexpensive
alternative to the highly resilient, precision, brushed aluminum, shock corded official kits.
Good Luck!
