Universal Telecommunications

Universal Telecommunications does for the telephony ecosystem what browsers did for the internet space.

HTML based browsers brought independence to consumers by allowing people to circumvent the early Internet Service Providers of the day.  In much the same way, the application that we are building is a cousin to the browser in that it also provide consumers a similar level of independence from telecommunications carriers and tears down the walled gardens the carriers possess.

The software application crushes the carrier's walled gardens and their grip on the types of services offered (when you dial 411, you don't get a choice of which directory assistance provider you get).  Carriers will still exist.  They are a required part of the ecosystem but this software empowers users to commoditize telephony services and therefore reduce costs and treat their service provider like any other utility (water or electricity).
