Raptor 46

Raptor with OS46FX-H and Hatori 444 tuned pipe and CMT 580mm carbon blades, NHP 85mm carbon tail blades, and KSJ 3D paddles. Muffler was changed to Hatori SB-5 (not pictured)

Upgrades include a Heli-hut metal head block, slipper clutch, JR washout hub, Nexus canopy and landing gear and various other custom machined parts.

Here's a lineup of my Nexus canopies which I use on my Nexus and also my Raptor. For the base, I used SEM bumper primer on a couple, and Bulldog adhesion promoter on another. Painted with Pactra R/C racing paint, and clear coated with 2 part Dupont clear coat.

I had this "stiffner" made for me before the aluminum collective rockers were available. Turned out nice, really helped stiffen up the stock plastic rocker. Also visible is a collective servo output horn supporter which I "rigged" up. I think supporting the output of the collective servo is necessary for this application. Also visible is my custom swashplate tool which is described under my "tools" page.

Here's the Raptor head converted to "negative delta". It is a "band-aid" for flutter, not a permanent cure. The cure is a properly machined or molded head-block as described on the "custom tools" page.

Another picture showing the negative delta conversion. I prefer the physics of it as opposed to positive delta.
