This is bear Asia Bear #15. He was released the same time the US bear #15 was released. He does not have the "30th Anniversary" stamp on his apron. He supposedly commemorates the 300th store in Japan.
He has been re-released as the "1st Store Bear". A sticker was added to his ear tag. See Bears 19+ page for pictures.

The rarest of the rare, bear #8, was released in Europe and Asia to commemorate the Year 2000 & Year of the Dragon. He is increasingly hard to find and ridiculously expensive.

This tiny 4" bear was sold in only a few stores. He resembles the #3 bear. His little Easter basket is in the shape of a white picket fence and contains candy. Released in only a few US markets (San Diego was one) and in Asia, the Summer Bears are the 1st set. The set contains the first female bear released in the series.

While the "Moose Bear" also known as the "Reindeer Bear" looks like a Starbucks bear - IT IS NOT. Starbucks has confirmed that this is not a Starbucks Bear at all. The tag reads G.A.C. Cincinnati which stands for Gallerie au Chocolat. I spoke with GAC, and they confirmed that the bear was NOT issued as a Starbucks bear, but was issued for a couple of years. They said the bear may have been pitched to Starbucks, but Starbucks declined. They refer to the bear as "Plush Medium Bear in Reindeer Head". The bear came with a Tartan Bow (Red and Green Plaid) around its neck and a bag of chocolate balls. He is sometimes seen with a Holly branch on his antler.

Known as "Black Apron Bear", this bear was supposedly released in Malaysia. I have no other details than than. Sorry. If you have one of these bears, please email me. If you can send a picture of the hang tag and the tush tag hat would be great.
Starbucks confirmed that this bear is not a Starbucks Bear released in North America (12/01).
Thanks to another Bearista Fan in Japan, the above bear has been confirmed as a Starbucks Bear. Thanks!

This Bearista was handed to Starbucks employees ONLY at the 2000 Northeast Zone Leadership Conference. The Bear is slightly smaller than the usual Bearistas and I think made by a different company. He/She has a white scarf around his neck with "PASSPORT TO PERFECTION" and "NORTHEAST ZONE LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE" written on it in red. Tag says "Northeast Zone Leadership Conferrence May 2000" on the front and "Passport to Performance - Meeting New Challenges Together - Starbucks Coffee" on the back in red. Tush tag says Princess Soft Toys on front and the usual washing instructions on the back. (Thanks wylie_will)
