Uneven brake pad wear can be caused by stuck caliper guide pins. Symptoms include reduced stopping power and or a pull, even though there is plenty of pad left. You'll find out soon enough if they are difficult to remove. If they are stuck, clean up with liquid wrench and emery cloth, apply a light coat of anti-seize before reinstalling. If there is more than half the pad left, reinstall, otherwise, consider replacing them.
