The lifespan and appearance of your convertible or roadster's soft top depends on he loving care you provide:

• Remove bird droppings immediately.
  
  
• Never go through an automatic car wash. Rear windows may be scratched, support bows may be damaged and waxes and polishes may affect the material.
  
  
• Never use solvents, gasoline, paint thinners or similar chemicals to remove stains; they destroy the fabric and cause leaks.
  
  
• Whenever possible, park in the shade to avoid strong sunlight which can affect the dyes and rubberized fabric.
  
  
• Don't stow the soft top when wet or frozen. And even when dry, don't leave it stowed in its compartment for too long, or the rear window may become creased.
  
  
• Use only BMW cleaning products, available from your BMW center, and observe all warning on the containers.
