Do we need a car? How easy is it to drive in Florida?
To get the most out of Orlando a car is almost a
necessity. Floridian roads are not too congested, compared to other
major cities. Needless to say, drive on the right side of the
road and follow all US traffic laws.
Do I need to book whole weeks or can I
book partial weeks?
You are welcome to book any duration, the cost will be
calculated on a daily rate. However, for stays of less than 7
nights, an additional cleaning charge will apply. Check rates
for details.
What are the advantages of renting
directly from the owner?
You will receive a personal service; our villa can be cheaper
than a hotel, and almost always cheaper than booking through a
travel agent. Unlike a hotel, you will have your own swimming
pool, kitchen, lounge plus many extra comforts free of charge.
Is the home better value than a hotel?
The rate for the home is for the whole villa, not per person.
In addition to the well equipped bedrooms and bathrooms, you
have the luxury of your own very well equipped kitchen, your own
pool, spa, relaxing pool lanai and a garage.
How far is it from the local
attractions?
The villa is approximately 10 minutes/8 miles from the
entrance road to Disney, off 192. Sea World is approximately 20
miles – about 25 to 30 minutes.
Orlando International Airport is approximately 45 minutes
away.
Any golf courses in the area?
Many Championship golf courses are within 15 miles of the
villa.
What is provided in the villa?
What do
I need to bring?
Just yourselves, the home is completely
furnished and equipped with bed linen, towels, all
kitchen utensils including cups, plates, glasses, cutlery, pots,
pans and bakeware. Iron and ironing board are also provided. In fact we have tried to include as much
as possible to make your stay the most enjoyable. The home will
have a basic supply of guest soap, toilet/napkin paper on your
arrival. However replacement of these items is your
responsibility during your stay.
Do we have to bring baby equipment?
The villa has a high chair as well as a stroller provided
free of charge, to make your holiday/vacation as pleasant as
possible.
How do we find the villa on arrival?
Once final payment has been received we will
forward important and useful information including how to find
the villa. You will be asked to complete a registration form, pay
a security deposit (by credit card) and given access to the keys and
directions to our villa.
Which way does the pool face?
The pool faces east catching the beautiful Floridian sun
during the day.
Is the pool heated? Do you have child
safety features?
The pool can be heated for an additional charge. This is
usually recommended between the months of October and May. The
pool and spa heater is designed to maintain an appropriate water
temperature up to 80 - 85 degrees and will take approximately 8
hours to heat. However, this temperature can be lower at cooler
times of the year. The pool has a safety fence with a gate. The
gate is erected on your arrival to protect against children and
non-swimmers stumbling into the pool.
Does the villa have a phone we can use
during our stay?
The villa does have a phone and local calls are free. To make
long distance calls you will need to provide your credit card
number to the local phone company operator or purchase a phone
card at the local supermarket. The phone will also take incoming
calls and you will be given the villa phone number before your
travel so you can be reached by phone.
Can I access the Internet?
You should bring along a notebook computer from home. A
high-speed wireless router is installed and allows a notebook/laptop
equipped with a WI-FI network card to connect to the Internet. A
network cable is also provided for a wired connection. The
wireless access-point can also be reached from anywhere in the
vacation home and at the poolside.
What services/maintenance is provided?
The villa is 'self-catering'. Prior to arrival, the home will
have been professionally cleaned. Clean bed-linen are placed on
beds. Clean towels are in the bathrooms. The home is provided
with a washer, tumble dryer, dishwasher, vacuum, brushes, mop
etc. If so desired, our management company is more than happy to
arrange for additional cleanings for an extra fee. The lawn is
mowed once a week and the pool is attended at least once a week.
The management company is happy to help on any other matters.
Can we have maid service?
The villa will have been thoroughly cleaned prior to your
arrival, and after your departure. But maid service can be arranged
on request for an additional charge, payable locally.
What about pets and smoking?
For the comfort of all guests, pets are not permitted in the
villa. Smoking is also prohibited in the villa.
Are there any shops/stores near by?
Within 2 minute drive from the villa is a WalMart
Suppercenter. There are also Publix Supermarkets on Highway 192.
Is there a security deposit and what is
it for?
A $300 damage deposit will be placed on a credit card at
booking. This covers breakages, inventory, damage, excessive
utility charges or if the house is left in an exceptionally poor
state of cleanliness (eg stains on carpet, marks on wall etc)
when extra cleaning is required. This will be refunded by mail
within 30 days of departure.
How do we book?
If you would like to book our home, please check our
availability by clicking on the availability calendar or by
going to our availability page and completing the booking form.
When dates and the rate have been agreed a booking invoice will
be made by email/telephone and will be held for 5 working days
(longer for overseas guests), pending receipt of a written
confirmation and full deposit or payment as appropriate.
Bookings may only be made by an adult aged 21 years or over.
Only the persons named on the booking form are permitted to stay
in the house. Florida State Law prohibits subletting, sharing or
assigning. Any persons not shown on the booking form will be
asked to leave by our Property Management.
How safe will our money be?
A concern some guests have is how safe the money is when it
is sent to someone they have never met. Rest assured, we work
hard to earn your trust and we also entrust you with our dream
home for the duration of your stay.
